Right from the childhood days I was an active student and showed inclination towards mono acting (solo drama). At an age of 13 years i.e. in 8th class I started performing on stage and very soon I earned many accolades for my dramatic performance on stage.
 My father, Kongarapi Appa Rao is also a famous stage artist of those days. As a child, I have used to go along with my father for drama rehearsals and eventually I have inherited my father’s legacy of stage and theatrical art. Also inherited artistic values and social values from my father who made him a good human being and soon became the darling of the audience as a child artist and won many prices for my invaluable performance.
Soon after completing my 10th Class, I have joined with a famous classical teacher Ms B. Subbalakshmi, who taught me classical dance “Bharat natyam in Palakollu.”

During my college days, I became more active and developed the innate quality of competitiveness with in myself. I was an active participant of every cultural activity in my college. This gave me a chance of being elected as a “Cultural Activities Secretary” of the college. As a leader and as a stage actor, I was proactive and conducted and enacted in dramas and plays. Won many accolades for my impressive performance and even won prizes on many occasions.
In a significant event, I had also got an opportunity to enact in a famous drama called “Kokkoro koo”. I was very much fortunate to act along with Sri Guzzle Srinivas, the famous stage artist. This gave me a great confidence and helped me move further to grow my career. 

Soon after completion of my B.A. final exams, I did not even bother to see the results and went to Madras to pursue my career as film director. Initially I have joined as an ‘Assistant director’ with Mr. Kodi Ramakrishna, the famous film director. I have assisted him for films like, Manuvadostunnadu, Attamechina Alludu, Dongakapuram, Vintha Dongalu, Satruvu, Madhura Nagarilo, Police lock-up, Maavuri Maaraju, etc. After that I directed few Telugu TV Serials.

For the first time, I have directed “Oka pellam Muddu-Rendo Pellam vaddu” film. This was a great opportunity for me. I was the sole person behind story, screenplay and direction of this film. The film became a good hit and gave me a break up as a film director in the Telugu film industry. This film is a comedy family saga. The lead actors of the film are Rajendra Prasad, Raasi, and Gulrin Chopra. Adding to the duo, the other famous comedians who enacted in the film are Brahamanandam, Sunil and Venumadhav. This film brought a great profit for my producer.

Upcoming Movies

With a desire to bring out more such admirable films, I have taken a gap to do research also exploring more in to the film industry to find the best talent for my upcoming films with two stories in hand. Very soon I wants to come out with another big hit on the silver screen. I am in search of a good and potential producer for my new venture in the planning.
